  • • Process Engineering Manager will be accountable for all aspects of client development and project execution including: technical accuracy and quality of the work product, performance of team members, professional development, horizon planning, efficient use of standards and best practices, utilization, and coordination with other disciplines.
  • • The Manager will be intimately involved in proposal development and presentations, project team leadership, project budgets and forecasting, vendor/contractor management, equipment procurement, schedule management, project engineering, and site management/installation support.
  • • This position will be responsible for process mechanical design, process equipment, vendor and contractor management, as well as installation and start-up support.
  • • This position requires a working knowledge of process flow diagrams, piping & instrument diagrams, mass & heat balances, basic piping system design, pump sizing, material handling methods, equipment, functional & installation specifications, as well as process instrumentation & control principles.
  • • This position requires strong analytical skills, basic understanding of project management fundamentals as well as strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, & AutoCAD).
  • • A practical understanding of sanitary design and construction methods and knowledge of process electrical / control and instrumentation design integration is preferred.
  • • Candidates must possess effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • • This position requires an individual who is a self-starter and can work with minimal supervision.
  • • Maintaining and growing solid client relationships is a key responsibility of this role.
  • • Successful Design Group Managers have leadership skills and experience with a drive to grow and expand local and regional client relationships.
  • • B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is preferred but consideration will be given to other engineering degrees based on actual project experience.
  • • Minimum 10-15 years of industrial project engineering experience involving process and related automation applications.
  • • Experience in the food, dairy, beverage/brewery, or personal care industries is highly preferred.

Regular travel is required to commute to our clients’ sites and intermittent travel is required to provide site leadership during critical phases of project implementation. Travel is required to support Process client development activities, project development, proposal generation, other project activities, and attend regional meetings. The combined travel required to support this role is estimated to be 20 to 30%.
